Swami Vivekananda National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research is a Prime Center of Excellence in the field of locomotor disability. The prime objective of the Institute is Manpower development in the field of locomotor disabilities and to fulfill the objective the Institute conducts Bachelor and Master Degree Courses in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics, and DNB PMR. Our alumni work across the globe and earn name & fame for the Institute. Research is the basis for growth and development of any profession. Our faculties, staff and students are continuously involved in Research activities and Research outcomes are disseminated by Scientific Paper presentation in National & International Conferences and published in high impact National & International Journals.
The integrated objective of the institute is to focus on areas of sustainable rehabilitation and scope with a continuous strives for Quality of Life in performance for substantial wellbeing for the Person with Disabilities. The Institute always emphasized on time need changes to counter the disability quantum. This Institute has serving the PwDs by creating Human Resource in the associated field, by providing different services like Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation service,, Physiotherapy service ,Occupational Therapy service, Prosthetic & Orthotic service, Speech & Audiology Therapy service, Psychological counselling and Vocational training. The institute continuously imparting our research spectrum through Surgical procedure, Therapeutic procedure, Prosthetic & Orthotic technology in well define process and introduces enormous importance over fundamental Research.
| We have successful in conducting surgical as well as aids and appliances distribution camps in country wide in a phase wise manner and resulted one step ahead from pre assigned targets. Regarding accolades of the Institute, we have been awarded with ISO9001:2015 certification and in the process of NABH and NAAC accreditation. Our generous initiative in CSR activities have resulted immense outcome for the Institute by partnership with RECL, NALCO and Coal India Ltd. for successful development of infrastructure like- Extension of Rehabilitation Building, Modular OT, Advanced Gait-Lab, 7 Axis CAD-CAM Lab. and Well equipped Ambulance etc. This is only a glimpse of the important achievements and developmental activities acquired in SVNIRTAR.
